Today we’re giving you some free unicorn and horse leg finger puppet printables! Finger puppets are so much fun for kids and adults alike. They can be used to create a little story, used while doing music time, or just to play like any other small figurine toy. What’s great about finger puppets is they are so easy and cheap to make. To make leg finger puppets all you need are paper, scissors, something to draw/color with and a little imagination.
You can create any kind of leg finger puppets you can think of: aliens, farm animals, people, dinosaurs, and so on. We’ve drawn up some unicorn and horse puppets for you if you would prefer to go that route. There’s a colored print or black+white print for you to color in yourself.
After coloring the prints. Cut out your puppet. Use an exacto knife on top of cardboard to cut out the finger holes. We created a “momma” and “baby” version to fit bigger and smaller fingers. If you’ve created your own puppets, have your child place their fingers exactly where you want the holes, mark it and cut out holes about the size of a nickel.

And there you have it! An easy but oh so fun craft that doubles as a toy!

Our kids love playing with puppets; especially our little toddlers. They love using them to sing their favorite songs like Old Macdonald and Five Little Speckled Frogs. These puppets in particular were fun to gallop with. If you tap your fingers on a hard surface like a table, it really sounds like the unicorn/horse is galloping!
