Puffy paint is one of those activities that kids absolutely love and that they can do over and over again. Not only is it easy to make, but it’s super fun to paint with! Keep reading to learn how to make puffy paint and get ideas for puffy paint projects.
We love taking a normal art activity up a few notches. Painting just by itself is such a fun kids activity, but when you use these puffy paints you’re bound to fall in love with the final look and texture like our kids did! Puffy paint has such a magical texture.
Making the paint is the start of the fun. Here is the recipe on how to make puffy paint:
Combine all the ingredients and mix. Sometimes we’ll add a little more shaving cream to make it more puffy and foamy.
As the paint dries, it will flatten a little but it still stays pretty fluffy. Our kids love squishing it because the texture is spongy and a bit like those Squishy toys.
Our kids loved using our printable Playdough Mats to help guide them on what to create. We decorated a cake, made some flowers, created a rainbow and made some funny looking monsters.
