If you haven’t noticed, we love all the colors of the rainbow. And this peacock craft gives us all the feels as we get to not only go all out in using any color we choose, but we also get to mix multiple art mediums to create a stunning masterpiece! It’s fun for kids and adults alike.
Stacey’s daughter Kamaile chose watercolor and play dough for her peacock coloring page craft. She colored in the bird part and left the feathers blank to add play dough.
If you don’t have play dough around then you could just continue coloring the feathers in with the watercolors. If you do have play dough, follow the steps below for a layered look.
The final look is gorgeous and so much fun! However, younger kids might not have the skill to make a layered look so just filling the feathers in with play dough also turns out great!
And take a look at what it looks like after you pull the play dough off. So pretty right!?!
You could really use any craft items you have on hand; pom poms, pipe cleaners, markers, homemade puffy paint, etc. Stacey’s son Makai opted for some colorful feathers for his peacock coloring page craft. That’s what’s so fun about mixed media, you can use anything!
We love taking normal coloring pages and mixing them up by adding different materials. Take a look at our Disney Pixar Luca print.
