I said a hip hop, hippie to the hippity, hip, hip a hop, and you don’t stop….just re-living my sister playing this song on repeat in the 90’s when I was a kid. 🙂 Do you know what we love about paper garlands? They’re easy, cost way less than the felt garlands, and they’re completely customizable to match any decor or any length of mantle (or table or banister or wherever you feel like putting one). Wanna hear the backstory of these garlands?? They started when Stacey was a young mom and her husband was finishing school. She loved the felt garlands but couldn’t afford them at the time so she decided to get a circle puncher, punch out some cardstock and make her own! GENIUS! And now we use them for literally everything; parties, holidays, church activities, etc. I’m not as handy with a sewing machine as my sister (and by not as handy I mean I don’t use them ever) but even I can whip up a garland that would rival Martha Stewart. 🙂
You only need a handful of items to create this Easter garland for your own decor: cardstock, scissors, a circle puncher and a sewing machine. And the best part, you can get your kids involved! My kids love helping punch out and cut out the pieces. And the older kids (8+) even help sew everything together. That’s a win win in my book!
